This position is a remote opportunity. NYS Adjuster License is required.

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the adjusting team, managing review of policies for coverage, conducting claim examinations and investigations, and ensuring timely and effective resolution of property, auto, and liability claims, including litigation matters. The supervisor must communicate loss exposure assessments and reserve and settlement strategies effectively to clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee team review and interpretation of coverage, processing, and conclusion of claims including investigations for Auto, No Fault PIP, Auto Med Pay, and General Liability Claims.
  2. Manage outside investigative service providers and coordinate with clients and legal counsel to advance claims.
  3. Maintain an ongoing diary for claim tracking.
  4. Assess and adjust exposure oversight, reserves, and settlement recommendations.
  5. Approve Loss Reports with thorough analysis of coverage, liability, and damages.
  6. Identify subrogation and risk transfer opportunities and initiate recovery efforts.
  7. Track team performance against KPIs.
  8. Provide excellent client service.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of auto and general liability casualty or No Fault/PIP experience, or equivalent.

Special Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of automobile supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of claims handling, coverage, litigation management, and product lines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer proficiency.

Other Qualifications: Candidate must have adjuster licenses and be willing to obtain a NY license if not already held.
