Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Workers’ Compensation claims professional in the United States. The role involves managing claims with lost time to conclusion, coordinating medical and indemnity positions with a Medical Case Manager, and resolving claims with appropriate settlements.

Candidates should demonstrate experience with handling low to moderate complexity claims and working toward return-to-work goals. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of WC claim handling, strong analytical and negotiation

Qualifications

• 2 years Workers' Compensation claim handling experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of state WC laws and medical/medical-legal processes.
• Ability to assess liability and set reserves.
• Ability to coordinate with Medical Case Manager.
• Proven customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims to determine coverage and compensability.
• Establish and adjust reserves for claims exposure.
• Negotiate settlements within authority.
• Coordinate with Medical Case Manager and providers.
• Manage files from initial intake to close.
• Collaborate with legal and specialty resources.
• Identify fraud and maintain documentation.
• Pursue subrogation and offset opportunities.
