Qualifications

• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws, claims management practices, OSHA regulations, and injury management processes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and workers' compensation claim administration principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple claims, priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer workers' compensation claims and coordinate claim activities from initial injury reporting through claim closure.
• Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and investigation of work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for injured employees, leaders, medical providers, and third-party administrators regarding claim status and processes.
• Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and records in accordance with regulations and requirements.
• Monitor claim activity and communicate with third-party administrators regarding progress, treatment, reserve changes and return-to-work opportunities.
• Coordinate transitional duty and return-to-work programs with leaders, HR, and occupational health providers.
• Provide guidance to employees and leaders regarding injury reporting and available resources.
• Assist with investigation of workplace injuries and prevention opportunities.
• Monitor and track claim metrics, injury trends, and loss data.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to claim activity, OSHA reporting, and compliance.
