Job summary

WCF Insurance Company in Sandy, Utah is seeking a non-exempt Worker's Compensation Claims Assistant to provide essential administrative and technical support to the workers' compensation claims team. You will assist with claim setup, documentation, correspondence, information gathering, and claim processing activities in a collaborative office environment.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and you will work closely with adjusters, claimants, medical providers, policyholders,

Qualifications

• High school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in claims or insurance preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Efficient organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, claims management software).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to claims adjuster.
• Communicate effectively with claimants, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
• Interact with policyholders, medical providers, and other stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and answer inquiries.
• Assist in the processing and resolution of claims, including verifying facts and coverage, entering new losses into the claims system, and managing incoming and outgoing claims correspondence.
• Manage work queues and process documents based on best practice guidelines.
• Compile and organize medical records for independent medical evaluations and other purposes as requested.
• Answer phone calls and effectively relay messages to claims staff.
