Workday Support Consultant

California Department of Justice – Division of Operations, Office of Human Resources, HR Data and Technology Section, Workday Support Team.

Location & Telework

Remote‑centered position with occasional in‑person attendance at DOJ headquarters in Sacramento.

Pay Range

Primary pay band: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 (A). New‑to‑State employees will start at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range, where applicable. Minimum salaries for alternate ranges: $3,861.00 – $4,839.00 (A), $4,181.00 – $5,233.00 (B), $5,014.00 – $6,276.00 (C).

Job Overview

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) leverages Workday and other systems to deliver outstanding user support for DOJ employees. The AGPA creates tools and training, ensures employees understand their HR roles, and enhances overall productivity and satisfaction. The AGPA partners closely with the Workday Support SSM I specialists, collaborating on research, evaluation, tracking, and resource & communication management to advance Workday initiatives and support program goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain Workday solutions to support Human Resources processes.
  • Provide end‑user support, training, and documentation for DOJ staff.
  • Develop and maintain tools to help employees effectively use Workday.
  • Ensure staff understand their roles and responsibilities within HR systems.
  • Collaborate with Workday Support specialists on research, evaluation, and resource tracking.
  • Manage communications and advance Workday initiatives to meet program goals.
Working Conditions
  • Position eligible for telework; remote‑centered job with recurring in‑person meetings, trainings, and travel to Sacramento as required.
  • Expenses for required travel are the employee’s responsibility.
  • Telework schedules are subject to change and may be re‑evaluated at any time.
