Sightline is seeking a Sightline Security Team Software Engineer to assist in implementing security protocols within our Workday environment. The role involves supporting user access controls, monitoring security alerts, and ensuring policy compliance. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and develop expertise in Workday security.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Position’s Roles & Interactions

• User Access Support: Manage user roles and permissions within Workday, ensuring appropriate access to sensitive information.
• Monitoring Security: Assist in monitoring security logs and alerts, and respond as needed.
• Policy Implementation: Support the deployment of security policies related to Workday, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of security configurations, access requests, and incidents for compliance and audits.
• Collaboration: Work with Sightline, business teams, internal audit, and compliance teams to manage Workday security settings.

Systems, Applications, Projects

• The focus is on Workday’s suite of applications.

Scale/Size of Supported Area

• Support in a complex environment with over 70 servers supporting Johns Hopkins ERP solutions.
• Workday supports over 60,000 users via the HCM module and interfaces with over 450 systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understanding of ERP user provisioning and role-based access control.
• Knowledge of information security best practices.
• Experience with security audits, risk assessments, and incident response.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field required. Additional experience may substitute for education.

Four years of related experience in administration, programming, maintenance, security, or support of complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the full software development lifecycle and familiarity with Workday are preferred.

Salary Range: $33.41/hour - $58.48/hour, commensurate with experience.
