Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Workday Platform & Governance Owner – Workday SME to act as the enterprise technical authority across all Workday modules, ensuring security, compliance, and architectural optimization. The role leads governance, environment management, and complex cross-functional initiatives.

You will mentor teams and partner with HRIT engineers and security partners, while coordinating with security and audit teams to maintain strong controls.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of HRIS experience with HR systems, including Workday configuration.
• Workday Pro Certifications across major modules.
• Deep knowledge of security, access reviews, and SOD controls.
• Experience in multi-tenant governance environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior Workday authority for configuration, integrations, and release management.
• Configure security frameworks, eligibility rules, and cross-department processes.
• Lead tenant management, sandbox refreshes, and change approvals.
• Oversee governance activities, change management, audits, and security protocols.
• Chair the Workday Change Advisory Board for upgrades and enhancements.
• Collaborate with security and audit teams on access controls.

Duration: Direct Hire- Permanent W2

Location: 3x a week onsite New York,NY, Holmdel NJ or Stamford CT

Pay Rate: $180k- $220k base

Overview

As the Workday SME and Governance Owner, you’ll serve as the enterprise technical authority across all Workday modules, ensuring our platform remains secure, compliant, and architecturally optimized. You’ll lead critical governance processes, oversee environment management, and provide expert configuration support for complex cross-functional initiatives—all while mentoring your team and collaborating with HRIT engineers and security partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for all Workday modules, advising on complex configuration, integration, and release management.
• Configure and support advanced security frameworks, eligibility rules, and cross-departmental business processes.
• Lead tenant management efforts, including environment planning, sandbox refreshes, change approvals, and release cycles.
• Oversee all governance activities, establishing standards for change management, audit compliance, and security protocols.
• Chair the Workday Change Advisory Board, ensuring thorough review and smooth implementation of upgrades and enhancements.
• Partner with security and audit teams to monitor and remediate access controls and segregation of duties issues.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 7–10 years of HRIS experience, with 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration expertise.
• Workday Pro Certifications across all major modules.
• Deep knowledge of Position and Job Management, security architecture, and SOD audit controls.
• Experience operating within a multi-tenant governance environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Expertise in integrations, APIs, and advanced configuration design.
• Strong leadership in change management and vendor collaboration.
