Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Configurator for a 12-month contract-to-hire with remote work.

You will configure, test, deploy and support Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management and Leave Administration, partnering with Payroll, HR, Benefits, Technology and Reporting teams to deliver compliant, scalable payroll solutions.

Must-have hands-on Workday configuration experience and familiarity with earnings, deductions, and leave rules.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management and Leave Administration functionality.
• Configure earnings, deductions, payroll calculations, processing rules, work schedules, time calculations, overtime rules, absence plans, leave programs and accrual schedules.
• Perform payroll reconciliation, parallel testing, system enhancements and deployment readiness.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting as needed.

Job Title: Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Configurator
Duration: 12-month contract-to-hire

Required Pay Scale: $75-80/hour W2

Job Summary:
The Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Configurator will configure, enhance, test, deploy, and support Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Leave Administration, and related HCM functionality.
This role will partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Technology, Reporting, Security, Integrations, and vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions supporting payroll operations, regulatory compliance, payroll transformation, employee time, and leave processes.
Project Details:
Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Leave Administration functionality.
The consultant will configure earnings, deductions, payroll calculations, processing rules, work schedules, time calculations, overtime rules, absence plans, leave programs, accrual schedules, eligibility rules, validations, and related business processes.
The work also includes payroll reconciliation, parallel testing, system enhancements, Workday release support, production troubleshooting, reporting, documentation, and deployment readiness.
