Responsibilities

• Provide expert support for Workday Payroll processes and issue resolution.

Senior Workday Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking Consultant – 12 month Contract

We are partnered exclusively with a leading global manufacturing client and is seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a major Workday implementation for a complex, global manufacturing client. The successful consultant will have strong hands‑on Workday experience across Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking, with proven Workday Scheduling experience and ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the configuration and setup of Workday Payroll, Absence Management and Time Tracking, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and global operating needs.
• Configure and support Workday Time Tracking, including time entry, validations, calculations and related business processes.
• Configure and support Workday Absence, including absence types, eligibility, accruals, balances and related processes.
• Provide expert support for Workday Payroll processes, troubleshooting issues and ensuring accurate and timely payroll outcomes.
• Lead or support the configuration of Workday Scheduling, including schedules, shifts, calendars and related workforce management processes.
• Work closely with the manufacturing client to understand complex workforce, shift and scheduling requirements across operational environments.
• Support testing, data validation, issue resolution and key project milestones through implementation and/or go-live.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT and business stakeholders across multiple countries, ensuring consistent global processes while accounting for local requirements.
• Support integrations and reporting relating to Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking and Scheduling, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on Workday experience, with strong experience in Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking.
• Proven experience configuring Workday Payroll, Absence Management and Time Tracking, preferably within complex or global organisations.
• Demonstrable Workday Scheduling experience, including the configuration and support of shifts, schedules and workforce requirements.
• Previous experience working with a manufacturing or similarly complex, operationally focused organisation is highly desirable.
• Global experience is required, with the ability to work across multiple countries, time zones and local regulatory/business requirements.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration, testing and issue resolution.
• Strong capability in creating and updating reports and supporting integrations relevant to Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking and Scheduling.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across global teams.
