The Global Workday Manager – Payroll, Time Tracking & Absence will lead the optimization, governance, and ongoing enhancement of the Workday platform across a global organization. This role is accountable for process efficiency, data integrity, system security, and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes.
Partnering with the Global HRIS Director, HR leaders, COEs, IT, Workday, and third-party vendors, this leader will define and execute the HRIS roadmap, prioritize enhancements, lead system initiatives, and ensure Workday capabilities align with business and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 4–6 Analysts through requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and delivery, fostering a high-performing, customer-focused environment.
- Partner with HR leaders and COEs to define HRIS strategy, roadmap, priorities, and business requirements while balancing business value, risk, dependencies, and changing priorities.
- Lead Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence governance, solution design, enhancements, implementations, and process improvements.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and identify opportunities for automation, improved efficiency, data integrity, and user adoption.
- Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders globally to streamline processes, resolve issues, and ensure reliable end-to-end integrations and downstream dependencies.
- Lead and manage global HR technology initiatives, effectively navigating ambiguity and reprioritizing as business needs evolve.
- Advise HR and COE leaders on Workday capabilities and emerging functionality, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes.
- Partner with Workday, IT, and third-party vendors to deliver enhancements and resolve complex system and integration needs.
- Monitor Workday security, controls, efficiency, and effectiveness in alignment with organizational standards, including SOX and information security requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence functionality, industry trends, and emerging HR technologies.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, HR leaders, and executives, demonstrating strong judgment, organization, problem-solving skills, and executive presence.
- Proactively identify opportunities, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives through successful completion in a fast-paced, global environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing HR applications, with significant Workday experience in Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence within a global environment.
- 2+ years of experience in an HRIS leadership or management role with strong knowledge of HR and payroll business processes.
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into Workday solutions and working cross-functionally across global teams.
- Experience partnering with Workday account teams and third-party implementation/system integration vendors.
- Strong understanding of HR concepts, business processes, solution design, configuration, testing, and delivery.
- Working knowledge of SOX controls, technical security operations, and information security standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
