Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Inventory Functional Business Analyst to lead the Workday Inventory configuration as part of a large ERP transformation in a contract role based in Boston. The analyst will translate business requirements into system configurations, coordinate testing, validate data mappings, and support go-live activities to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ERP implementation experience supporting full project lifecycles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Inventory configuration and functionality.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
• Experience coordinating testing efforts, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Experience with data conversion activities, including data mapping, validation, and migration for inventory or related modules.
• Experience defining and supporting reporting requirements for inventory and ERP processes.
• Knowledge of cutover planning, go-live support, and hypercare activities in an ERP environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ERP project management activities within the scope of functional implementation.
• Experience in inventory control and supply chain management.
• Experience implementing Workday solutions, specifically Workday Inventory.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end implementation of Workday Inventory as part of a large-scale ERP transformation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and refine inventory-related business processes.
• Configure Workday Inventory functionality to align with defined business requirements.
• Gather, document, and validate detailed business requirements for inventory and related ERP processes.
• Coordinate and execute testing activities, including test planning, test case development, and test execution for Workday Inventory.
• Manage defect tracking and resolution during testing cycles with cross-functional teams.
• Support data conversion activities by validating inventory-related data and assisting with mapping and migration.
• Contribute to reporting requirements by helping define, document, and validate inventory-related reports and analytics.
• Develop and maintain process documentation for Workday Inventory.
• Participate in cutover planning and go-live support tasks.
• Provide go-live support and hypercare to stabilize the system post-implementation.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of new inventory processes.
