GQR is seeking an experienced HRIS Manager with strong Workday expertise to lead the organization’s HRIS function while remaining hands‑on with the Workday platform. This role blends strategic leadership with technical configuration across modules.

You will manage a team, partner with senior stakeholders, and actively configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday to support HR, Payroll, and reporting needs. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HRIS/Workday experience.
  • Experience managing/mentoring an HRIS/Workday team.
  • Strong understanding of Workday processes, security, reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Workday – 50%

  • Support Workday releases, testing, integrations, and optimization
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields

  • Translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions
  • Lead, mentor and develop the HRIS/Workday team
  • Manage priorities, projects, and team performance

Seeking an experienced HRIS Manager with strong Workday expertise to lead the organization’s HRIS function while remaining hands‑on with the Workday platform. This role offers a 50/50 blend of hands‑on Workday configuration and people management/strategic leadership.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on HRIS leader who can manage a team, partner with senior stakeholders, and also roll up their sleeves to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday.

Responsibilities

Hands‑On Workday – 50%

  • Serve as a hands‑on Workday subject matter expert across multiple functional areas
  • Configure and optimize Workday business processes, workflows, security, and system functionality
  • Troubleshoot complex Workday issues and identify opportunities for system improvements
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements, testing, integrations, and ongoing system optimization
  • Develop and maintain reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and other Workday reporting solutions
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders on Workday initiatives
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions
  • Maintain Workday best practices and ensure the system continues to meet evolving business needs
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HRIS/Workday team
  • Manage day‑to‑day priorities, projects, workload, and team performance
  • Establish HRIS processes, standards, and best practices
  • Develop and execute the organization’s HRIS roadmap and long‑term Workday strategy
  • Partner with HR and business leadership to align HR technology with organizational goals
  • Manage Workday projects, priorities, vendors, and external partners as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through technology and automation
  • Communicate system capabilities, recommendations, and project updates to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of HRIS/Workday experience
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading an HRIS/Workday team
  • Experience across multiple Workday functional areas such as HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, or Reporting
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, reporting, and configuration
  • Experience managing Workday projects and system enhancements
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into HR technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance hands‑on execution with people leadership and strategic planning
