Job summary

J.Crew Group is seeking a Sr. Manager, HRIS to lead Workday configuration across HCM Core, Recruiting, Onboarding, Security and Payroll. You will partner with HR and IT to optimize functionality, drive improvements, and ensure SOX compliance.

In this role you will own security design, data mapping, and end-to-end payroll configuration while guiding cross-functional teams, embracing Workday best practices, and staying ahead of releases to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday HCM configuration experience—HCM Core, Security, and Recruiting required.
• Deep understanding of Workday cross-functional complexities and best practices.
• SOX compliance and access governance experience.
• Strong analytical skills translating business requirements into system solutions.
• Experience diagnosing complex Workday configuration issues across modules.
• EIB authoring and execution.
• Strong cross-functional communication: HRIS, HR COEs, IT, Finance, Legal.

Responsibilities

• Own configuration strategy, enhancements, and maintenance for HCM Core.
• Own HCM lifecycle business process configuration.
• Serve as escalation point for complex system issues across HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Security, and Payroll.
• Translate business requirements into Workday solutions and drive improvements.
• Deploy creative solutions to bridge gaps between business needs and system capabilities.
• Partner with HR and IT leaders to identify continuous improvement opportunities and scalable solutions.
• Lead semi-annual Workday release reviews for HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Security, and Payroll.
• Stay ahead of Workday updates and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Partner with IT on integration requirements, data mapping, and UAT for owned modules.
• Own Workday Security end-to-end — role design, provisioning, audits, and segregation of duties.
