Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a senior Data Conversion Lead to steer the HCM data migration from PeopleSoft to Workday. You will own the conversion strategy, scope, schedule, and quality while hands-on profiling, mapping, extraction, transformation, and validation of data.

You’ll manage a team of data conversion developers across discovery, mock conversions, cutover, and stabilization. You will collaborate with system owners and functional leads to define scope, historical data needs, and acceptance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of ERP data conversion experience including leadership of a major conversion workstream.
• Deep hands-on expertise with PeopleSoft HCM data structures, tables, extraction methods, and conversion tools across multiple HCM modules.
• Experience supporting PeopleSoft-to-Workday data conversions with familiarity in Workday load processes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end conversion planning, including sequencing, estimates, milestones, dependencies, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
• Direct and review the work of conversion developers, providing technical guidance, resolving blockers, and ensuring consistent methods and documentation.
• Lead discovery and requirements sessions with system owners and functional leads to define scope, historical data needs, reconciliation criteria, and acceptance standards.
• Analyze PeopleSoft HCM data structures, schemas, tables, and business rules, and translate them into a practical conversion approach aligned with Workday business objects.
• Develop, refine, and run SQL and PeopleTools queries, extraction logic, transformation rules, reconciliation routines, and repeatable conversion scripts.
• Plan and oversee mock conversions, unit and system testing, reconciliation, defect triage, remediation, and final validation; coordinate with the system integrator during load cycles.

Role overview

Lead the HCM data conversion workstream for a higher education ERP modernization, migrating a client from PeopleSoft HCM to Workday. This role owns strategy, scope, schedule, quality, and deliverables for the conversion effort while remaining hands‑on with data profiling, mapping, extraction, transformation, and validation. The position acts as the primary client‑facing point of contact and directs a team of data conversion developers throughout discovery, mock conversions, cutover, and stabilization.

Requirements

• Deep hands‑on expertise with PeopleSoft HCM data structures, tables, extraction methods, and conversion tools across multiple HCM modules.
• Demonstrated experience supporting PeopleSoft-to-Workday data conversions with familiarity in Workday load processes.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, PeopleTools, and Application Designer; working knowledge of Integration Broker is strongly preferred.
• Strong grounding in data profiling, mapping, modeling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, validation, and data‑quality practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, plus demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage client expectations across technical and functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday HCM conversions in a higher education environment.
• Background spanning several PeopleSoft HCM domains such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor, Recruiting, or Talent.
• Workday or PeopleSoft certification and participation in full-cycle ERP implementations through cutover and post-production stabilization.

Base salary range of $165,000–$190,000 USD, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
