Job summary

The State of Washington seeks a Fiscal Analyst 5 to lead the financial aspects of the OneWA Workday transition for the Washington State Historical Society. You will align GAAP, WAAM, and agency policies with new processes, acting as the primary liaison among finance, IT, and business units.

You will oversee testing, data conversion, and post-implementation support, while developing manuals and delivering Workday training to budget staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of GAAP, federal/state regulations and agency policies.
• Expert financial analysis, data interpretation and guidance for system transitions.
• Experience serving as a liaison among finance, IT, and program units.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Budget and Accounting project expert for AFRS to Workday transition.
• Act as SME and primary liaison between WSHS, OFM and external contractors.
• Interpret, analyze, and validate financial processes per GAAP and WAAM.
• Lead finance team testing, data conversion, and post-implementation support in Workday.
• Develop procedures and manuals reflecting Workday functionality and updated workflows.
• Design and deliver Workday training for finance staff and lead staff training events.
