Job summary
Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto seeks a Platform Expert Engineer for Workday HCM & HR Systems to shape the architecture and roadmap of enterprise HR platforms. Qualifications
- Proven experience driving architectural strategy and technical roadmaps for enterprise HR platforms, specifically Workday HCM, security frameworks, and advanced analytics.
- Expertise in evaluating and operationalizing Workday AI innovations, agentic AI agents, and intelligent automated workflows.
- Active Workday Pro certifications (e.g., Workday Pro HCM, Workday Pro Security, Workday Pro Reporting, or Workday Pro Integrations) or Workday Integration Architect certification.
Responsibilities
- Technical Solutioning & Tool Evaluation
- Operates at two altitudes: high-level solution shaping and deep technical design.
- Evaluates build-vs-buy and native-platform-vs-purpose-built tradeoffs on their technical merits.
- Maintains fluency across adjacent IT domains (integration, infrastructure, security, data).
- Partners with other IT teams as a peer convener for cross-team solutioning sessions.
- Leads and mentors with informal leadership, promoting knowledge transfer.
