Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager for Higher Education to lead Workday deployments, manage client relationships, and drive project success from planning through production.

You will oversee engagements, budgets, and profitability while partnering with Delivery leadership and consultants. The role demands 6+ years in ERP project management and consulting, with Workday or comparable platforms; strong leadership and executive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management of medium/large ERP solutions, preferably in Higher Education.
• 6+ years of consulting experience, internal or with a firm.
• Experience implementing Workday or other ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Ellucian).
• Working knowledge of HCM, Financials, SIS business areas.
• Experience handling 3rd parties on projects and managing vendor relationships.
• Business development or service sales experience is a plus.
• Strong executive presence, communication, and influence on stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead service delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Project manage one or more Workday product implementations concurrently.
• Participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements and draft proposals/SOWs.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources.
• Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
• Manage and measure project performance with appropriate tools.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Collaborate with client PMs to resolve scope/timeframe issues.
• Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
