Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States seeks a Workday AI Solutions Engineer to translate complex HCM needs into intuitive Extend applications, automated workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled experiences. You will partner with HR and technology teams to deliver scalable Workday solutions, focusing on security, data models, and integrations.

The role requires hands-on Workday Extend development, experience with Workday AI and Sana, REST/SOAP integrations, and the ability to communicate business

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Workday Extend apps.
• Strong understanding of Workday platform, security, reporting, and data models.
• Experience with REST/SOAP, Workday Studio, EIBs, Cloud Connect, Orchestrate, or event-driven integrations.
• Ability to translate HCM challenges into practical technical solutions across HR domains.
• Experience evaluating solutions, communicating feasibility and risks to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting across apps, security, integrations, and data.
• Experience implementing Workday AI capabilities, Sana for Workday, agents, and related tools.
• Design AI-enabled or agentic workflows securely interacting with Workday data and APIs.
• Familiar with enterprise AI concepts and governance, including prompt design and observability.
• Experience connecting Workday with MS 365, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other HR tech.
• Develop reusable components, accelerators, or templates for Extend, integrations, or AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize Workday AI opportunities with HR and tech teams.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and support Workday Extend apps for HR processes.
• Evaluate Workday AI capabilities and implement based on business value and security.
• Develop proofs of concept and iterate with stakeholders toward production readiness.
• Apply knowledge of Workday processes, security, data models, and integrations.
• Design and implement integrations across Workday and third-party platforms.
• Configure permissions, domain security, and access in collaboration with security teams.
• Establish standards and reusable patterns for Extend and AI solutions.
• Monitor adoption, performance, and API usage to improve reliability and value.
• Stay current on Workday releases and AI offerings; communicate options to stakeholders.
