Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Workday AI Solutions Engineer to translate HR needs into AI-enabled Workday Extend applications. You will collaborate across HR and technology to automate workflows, integrations, and experiences while ensuring security and adoption readiness. Strong Workday expertise is required.

Responsibilities include building Extend apps, integrating with Workday via REST/SOAP, and evaluating AI capabilities to deliver scalable HR solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Workday Extend apps in production.
• Strong Workday platform knowledge, incl. security and reporting configuration.
• Experience with Workday integration technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, Studio, EIBs or Orchestrate.
• Ability to translate HCM challenges into practical technical solutions.
• Experience evaluating Workday AI capabilities and agent-management features.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI concepts and data privacy practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize HR opportunities using Workday Extend and AI features.
• Design and deploy Extend apps that simplify HR processes for employees and HR teams.
• Implement AI capabilities, Sana experiences, and custom agents based on value and security.
• Develop proofs of concept and move solutions into production with governance.
• Ensure Extend/AI solutions integrate securely with Workday architecture and APIs.
• Monitor adoption, performance, and business outcomes to maximize value.
