Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a highly technical Workday Adaptive Planning Architect / Senior Adaptive Builder in Los Angeles to design, develop, implement, and enhance enterprise financial planning solutions.

The role partners with finance and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable Adaptive Planning models, sheets, and data structures, owning the full lifecycle from design through deployment and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience preferred, with technical depth.
• Experience building Workday Adaptive Planning solutions from the ground up.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong understanding of dimensions and attributes within Adaptive Planning.
• Hands-on experience with standard sheets, modeled sheets, and cube sheets.
• Strong understanding of Adaptive Planning data flows and overall solution architecture.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and build Workday Adaptive Planning solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop new Adaptive Planning functionality, models, environments, and financial planning applications.
• Lead technical design decisions around dimensions, attributes, sheets, data structures, and overall solution architecture.
• Support new business groups through Adaptive Planning implementations and expansions.
• Assist with the transition of business areas from Anaplan to Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Enhance and maintain existing Adaptive Planning environments and applications.
• Support financial processes involving amortization, participations, accruals, planning data, actuals, GL data, and budget‑versus‑actual reporting.
• Analyze existing environments, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement scalable solutions.
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
• Independently troubleshoot, maintain, and support Adaptive Planning applications after ramp‑up.
• Cross‑train across existing environments to provide broader application coverage and technical support.
