Insight Global is seeking a highly technical Workday Adaptive Planning Architect / Senior Adaptive Builder in Los Angeles to design, develop, implement, and enhance enterprise financial planning solutions.

The role partners with finance and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable Adaptive Planning models, sheets, and data structures, owning the full lifecycle from design through deployment and ongoing support.

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience preferred, with technical depth.
• Experience building Workday Adaptive Planning solutions from the ground up.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong understanding of dimensions and attributes within Adaptive Planning.
• Hands-on experience with standard sheets, modeled sheets, and cube sheets.
• Strong understanding of Adaptive Planning data flows and overall solution architecture.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions.

Workday Adaptive Planning Architect / Senior Adaptive Builder

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly technical Workday Adaptive Planning Architect / Senior Adaptive Builder to support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise financial planning solutions.

This individual will partner with business stakeholders to understand complex requirements and translate them into scalable Adaptive Planning solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on builder who can own the full lifecycle from requirements and solution architecture through configuration, implementation, and ongoing support.

This is a long‑term contract opportunity expected to run at least one year.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and build Workday Adaptive Planning solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop new Adaptive Planning functionality, models, environments, and financial planning applications.
• Lead technical design decisions around dimensions, attributes, sheets, data structures, and overall solution architecture.
• Support new business groups through Adaptive Planning implementations and expansions.
• Assist with the transition of business areas from Anaplan to Workday Adaptive Planning.

• Significant experience implementing and building Workday Adaptive Planning solutions from the ground up.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and functioning Adaptive solutions.
• Advanced understanding of dimensions and attributes within Adaptive Planning.
• Hands‑on experience with standard sheets, modeled sheets, and cube sheets.
• Strong understanding of when and why to use different Adaptive sheet types.
• Experience working with planning data, actuals, GL data, budgets, and financial data structures.
• Strong understanding of Adaptive Planning data flows and overall solution architecture.
• Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions.
• Ability to clearly explain technical design decisions to finance, business, and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex Adaptive Planning solutions.
