Job Summary

Assist with clerical tasks in the office, setting up for events and assist with the Welcome Desk.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
  • Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier, and multi-line telephone
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Essential Functions
  • Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately
  • Office and clerical tasks

  • Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries
  • Help prospective students fill out local application

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Duties indoors and some outdoors
  • Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events
Security Sensitivity

Salary

Min Salary $9.20 per hour

Max Salary $9.20 per hour
