Salary Information
$12.50 per hour.
Job Summary
The work study program provides funds for part-time employment to help students finance the costs of postsecondary education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity for employment arranged around class schedules, while providing essential services to the College and the community.
Essential Functions
Students will work in one or more of the following roles (as desired) with the Banner News editor and staff on communication with Boone campus community depending on individual skill/talent.
Required Qualifications
Ability to be a good team member who can work independently and receive feedback regarding suggestions for improvement.
Basic knowledge of computer operations.
Willingness to engage with students, faculty, staff and guests.
Uphold the policies of Banner News and follow the established processes that it functions within including professional ethics.
Desired Qualifications
Strong research, writing, and verbal skills.
Social media posting experience.
Experience interviewing, podcasting, creating videos.
Experience with computer analytics, editing audio and video files.
Photography skills.
Work Schedule
15 hours per week, Monday – Thursday.
