Job summary

The Fedcap Group’s Families Forward in South Paris is hiring an Education and Training Instructor to deliver Power of Possible and Life Skills workshops, guiding participants toward employment readiness. You will support benefit applications, ESOL classes, and progressive skill development to help individuals move into work experiences and training opportunities.

You will lead high‑energy sessions, set clear expectations, and maintain structured classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, workforce development, or related field preferred.
• Two years’ experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or workforce development coaching preferred.
• Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment strongly preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Power of Possible (POP) and Life Skills workshops as scheduled, ensuring consistency and curriculum alignment.
• Conduct Single Stop Benefits screenings and support applications for eligible benefits (LIHEAP, EITC, etc.).
• Facilitate ESOL ENGEN classroom sessions, including language immersion and progress tracking.
• Lead engaging, high‑energy sessions with clear expectations for behavior and participation.
• Prepare materials and technology in advance to ensure effective workshop delivery.
• Support progression into Work Experience (WEP), Community Service (CS), and Short‑Term Occupational Training (STOT).
• Track attendance and participant progress, ensuring structured class environment and accountability.
