Job summary

You will register patients, collect billing data, coordinate with case managers and adjusters, obtain authorizations, and ensure complete records.

Excellent communication, healthcare billing knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required; previous WC or insurance auditing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, social services, or medical field.
• Experience in workers’ compensation or insurance auditing preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare-related field or insurance billing required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, OneNote.
• Ability to read, speak, write English without translation.

Responsibilities

• Register, verify, update, or modify new workers’ compensation patients and collect required information.
• Coordinate with case managers, referring offices, or adjusters to obtain outside records.
• Ensure that records received are complete and documented.
• Obtain necessary authorizations for workers’ compensation appointments and surgeries.
• Document calls and entries in the case management system.
