Job summary

Serrato Corporation in Little Rock, AR is seeking a candidate to plan and conduct a community relations program and oversee the work-based learning (WBL) program in alignment with DOL, PRH, corporate and Center requirements. The role includes developing WBL policies, recruiting and monitoring students, coordinating with instructors, and ensuring safety and compliance across sites.

High school diploma and driver’s license required; two years in job development and placement with supervisory

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and markets the work-based learning (WBL).
• Develops and implements policies for the WBL programs that meet DOL requirements.
• Recruits, enrolls, and monitors students in the WBL programs.
• Plans and assists in the development of the work-based learning handbook, guide, or brochure.
• Conducts orientation for students identified for the work-based learning program.
• Conducts sessions with instructors on trends in the workforce and training needs identified by the work-based learning site.
• Trains work-based learning supervisor on procedures.
• Monitors work sites to ensure that quality training is taking place.
• Coordinates communication of work-based learning success stories with local businesses.
• Promotes a home-based WBL program and helps coordinates the program.
• Works with the Center's Safety Officer to ensure OSHA compliance and site visits.
• Ensures all work positions are documented with site agreements and signatures.
• Ensures all documentation reflective of WBL assignments is completed (e.g., TAR, evaluations, time sheets).
• Coordinates transportation of students to work sites.
• Assists in ongoing implementation of the Center's Career Success Standards program.
• Works toward meeting performance standard goals.
• Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct daily.
• Maintains good housekeeping and complies with safety practices.
• Complies with DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, QAP, Serrato policies, and Center policies.
• Demonstrates Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles.
• Models and mentors Career Success Standards.
• Helps students become more employable through reinforcement.
• Participates in mandated staff training; failure to participate may lead to disciplinary action.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
