Job summary

WP Engine is seeking a Technical Support L1 to assist customers primarily via live chat, with phone and ticket support. You will resolve WordPress questions and issues, building a deep knowledge of open-source technologies behind our hosting solutions.

You will contribute to a world-class customer experience, grow technical skills, and collaborate with a global, inclusive team. Requires 1–2 years in tech support and WordPress expertise.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in technical support or a customer service role.
• Familiar with open-source content management systems.
• Knowledge of WordPress, plugins, and themes.
• DNS and SSL knowledge.
• Experience with Linux command line.
• Familiar with StudioPress and/or the Genesis framework.
• Experience with live chat and/or phone support.
• Understanding of common web hosting error codes (e.g., 404).

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers via live chat, phone, or tickets.
• Help customers with WordPress questions and needs, building a world-class experience.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of open source technologies used in WP Engine.
• Collaborate with teammates to share knowledge and solve problems.
