Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement established treatment programs under supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role includes individual and group therapy across diverse patient populations to maximize function and independence.

You will educate patients and families, participate in care meetings, and assist with discharge planning while ensuring quality care and compliance with best practices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Massachusetts.
• Must have completed the Board Examination for COTA.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual treatment to restore and maximize physical, cognitive, and daily living skills.
• Educate patients and families on strategies to promote wellness and independence.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and participate in discharge planning.
• Assess treatment outcomes and communicate recommendations for program changes.
• Supervise students and support staff as appropriate.
