Job summary

Del Mar College Testing Center seeks an experienced instructor to evaluate students and measure progress toward course outcomes. You will review and select learning materials, provide a clear syllabus, and foster a productive teaching environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining attendance, inputting final grades, and submitting grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department. Minimum three years in carpentry; five years in education preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/ outline provided to ensure course content and objectives are met.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
  • Ability to utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
  • Knowledgeable in working with a variety of different woodworking techniques.
  • Ability to clearly communicate woodworking techniques to students.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a carpentry trade.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) years experience in education.
