Del Mar College is continually seeking qualified adjunct instructors to join an industrial machining pool, allowing rapid placement for temporary assignments as needs arise.
Instructors will teach basic machine shop courses, emphasize safe machining practices, and adapt to varying schedules and campus locations. Applicants may be contacted for interviews by the Hiring Manager if the department is interested.
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Adjunct assignments on an as‑needed basis. Departments or divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the Hiring Manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Adjunct Instructor for basic machine shop courses. Instruct students on
aspects of machining and understanding of machine shop safety.
Associate’s in Applied Science degree in the field of study AND five (5) years of related work experience.
-OR-
Ten (10) years of related work experience in the field.
Operate power machinery such as drill presses, lathes, mills, grinders, and
hydraulic presses.
The understanding of machine shop processes performed in manufacturing
machined parts.
Ability to instruct and conduct a classroom environment.
Applicants must reside in the state of Texas and be eligible to work in the United States.
