Job summary

Georg Fischer is seeking a Warehouse/Crating Associate in Irvine, CA to build custom crates, pallets, and protective packaging for piping systems and components. You will measure, read basic drawings, cut lumber, and secure items for shipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and hands-on experience with hand and power tools, along with a commitment to safety and quality. Schedule is 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, Monday to Friday, in a manufacturing/shipping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in packaging, crating, shipping, warehousing, or construction is preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings, work orders, and packing instructions.
• Experience using hand or power tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build custom wooden crates, boxes, pallets, and shipping containers.
• Measure products and materials with tape measures and rulers.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and packaging instructions.
• Operate saws, drills, nail guns, and other tools.
• Wrap and secure fragile or heavy items for shipment.
• Install blocking and bracing to prevent damage during transport.
• Inspect packaging for fit, security, and quality before shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE policies.
