Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, push and or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs.

The Wood Sander will be responsible for preparing wood components for finishing by completing the following:

• Operate different sanders and various hand tools to smooth wood surfaces and edges.
• Prepare parts by filling and repairing imperfections in the wood.
• Mask off parts in preparation for finishing.
• Apply stains, sealants, and other finishes to wood surfaces.
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Strip finish and prepare for re‑finishing.
• Clean and maintain sanding equipment and hand tools.
• Read and understand shop drawings and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

Skillset

• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a wood manufacturing environment, ideally within the store fixtures industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wood sanding principles.
• Proficient using hand tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to lift, carry, push and or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs.
