Job summary

Carlisle Companies seeks a Production Supervisor to direct 20–40 production employees and 1–3 lead operators. You will plan and assign work, coach staff, and implement policies to improve methods, equipment use, and working conditions.

Work is a 40-hour week with occasional overtime and travel up to 10% to other plants for training and support. You will enforce safety, quality controls, and continuous improvement initiatives across the line.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school training required.
• 5+ years supervisory manufacturing experience required.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Experience directing 20-40 production employees and 1-3 lead operators.
• Ability to coach and develop employees and enforce policies.
• Ability to plan and assign work and drive process improvements.
• Knowledge of safety procedures (lock out, tag out).
• Proficient in basic computer skills and measuring gauges.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, train and supervise the daily activities of the production work centers, delegating responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Plan and assign work; review production schedules and hire personnel per budgeting plans.
• Perform administrative tasks including performance reviews and reporting.
• Ensure PPE usage and enforce safety regulations across the plant.
• Foster employee relations, coaching, and development; collaborate with HR on staffing decisions.
• Lead waste-reduction efforts using COS, SQDC boards, and corrective actions.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage inventories; back up for operations management as needed.
• Maintain time and attendance records.
