Job summary

Woodweb is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee daily production across our wood products facility, including mill, components and finish teams. You will drive throughput while maintaining precision quality, champion shop-floor safety, and apply JIT/Lean principles.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong understanding of wood properties, ERP-based scheduling, and a track record of Lean/Kaizen improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in operations or plant management in woodworking/manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of wood species, moisture behavior, sanding grits, tooling, and finishing/coating processes.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP for production tracking, inventory valuation and scheduling.
• Proven Lean, 5S or Kaizen implementation in a physical plant.
• Strong leadership with delegation, conflict resolution and cross-organizational communication.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish for floor communication is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Foster safety culture and lead the team through continuous improvement.
