Qualifications

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching completed or current.
• Annual Concussion in Sports training required.
• Heat Illness Prevention training every 4 years.
• Appearance and PEDs training every 4 years.
• Heads up certification required for football.
• First Aid/CPR/AED every 2 years for paid coaches.
• Bend-La Pine Safe Schools trainings yearly.

Responsibilities

• Hold high ethical and professional standards.
• Be an appropriate role model for student-athletes.
• Maintain high expectations academically and behaviorally.
• Develop and implement a vision for the program.
• Collaborate within an educational athletic program.
• Be accessible and visible to athletes at all levels.
• Assist in scheduling and fundraising for the program.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, eligibility, and district policies.
