Qualifications

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching completed or recognized.
• Concussion in Sports training updated yearly.
• Heat Illness Prevention training updated every 4 years; background check.
• Appearance and Performance Enhancing Drugs and Substances Training every 4 years.
• Heads Up Football certification yearly (football only).
• First Aid/CPR/AED every 2 years (paid coaches).
• Bend-La Pine Safe Schools Trainings yearly.

Responsibilities

• Hold high ethical and professional standards for athletes.
• Be a role model for student-athletes.
• Set high expectations academically and behaviorally.
• Develop, articulate, and implement a program vision.
• Collaborate with staff in a school-wide athletic program.
• Lead a comprehensive high school athletics program when possible.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Schedule and coordinate for the sport with the Athletic Director.
• Be accessible and visible to athletes at all levels.
• Other duties as assigned by Athletic Director.
