Job summary

Campbellsville University is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women's Wrestling to support the program's growth under the Head Coach. The role emphasizes recruitment, athlete development, and program logistics in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will assist with identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes, coordinate recruiting events, and help manage team travel, practices, and competition preparation while upholding university policies and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High-level wrestling background and/or coaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling technique, competition, athlete development, and freestyle/Greco-Roman.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, communicate effectively, and build relationships with prospective student-athletes.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with the overall recruiting strategy and execution for the women's wrestling program.
• Identify, evaluate, communicate with, and build relationships with prospective student-athletes and related stakeholders.
• Assist with recruiting visits, tournaments, showcases, camps, campus visits, and other events.
• Maintain recruiting information, evaluations, communications, and follow-up with Head Coach.
• Assist with practices, competitions, training, and student-athlete development.
• Support team travel, transportation, scheduling, equipment, facilities and daily program duties.
• Represent Campbellsville University and the women's wrestling program professionally.
• Comply with all university, conference, and governing-body rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach or university personnel.
