Job summary

Campbellsville University is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women’s Wrestling to support the program’s growth. You will collaborate with the Head Coach on recruitment, athlete development, and competition preparation, while coordinating visits and events to identify prospective student-athletes.

The role requires a strong wrestling background, excellent communication, and the ability to build relationships with students, families, coaches, and clubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High-level wrestling background and/or coaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, communicate effectively, and build positive relationships with prospective student-athletes.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with recruiting strategy and execution.
• Identify, evaluate, communicate with, and build relationships with prospective student-athletes, coaches, families, clubs, high schools, colleges, and wrestling programs.
• Assist with recruiting visits, tournaments, showcases, camps, campus visits, and other recruiting events.
• Maintain recruiting information, evaluations, communications, and follow-up in collaboration with the Head Coach.
• Assist with practices, competitions, training, and student-athlete development, including instruction in wrestling technique, strategy, conditioning, and competition preparation.
• Assist with team travel, transportation, scheduling, equipment, facilities, and other day-to-day program responsibilities.
• Support student-athletes in their academic, personal, and athletic development.
• Represent Campbellsville University and the women’s wrestling program in a professional manner.
• Comply with all Campbellsville University, conference, and applicable governing-body rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or appropriate university personnel.
