Job summary

The assistant coach helps the head coach with all activities of the designated program, including recruitment and retention of student-athletes; monitoring of student-athletes’ academic progress; striving for competitive success; management of budget; and ensuring the program’s compliance with University, Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Playing and coaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with student-athletes and staff.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
• Monitoring of student-athletes’ academic progress.
• Striving for competitive success for the program.
• Management of budget and program advancement initiatives.
