Job summary

Emerson College seeks a Secondary Assistant Coach to support the Women’s Tennis program in Boston. You will work under the Head Coach to develop student-athletes, scout opponents, break down game film, and organize practices and matches. Occasional work with the men's team may occur.

The role requires guiding players, coordinating training, and helping in game planning while upholding safety standards and NCAA rules. Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0–2 years of coaching experience at the post-secondary level and/or professional competitive experience.
• A valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assists head coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting training and match competition for the women's tennis team (and sometimes the men's team).
• Assist in monitoring, and coordinating training and practice sessions.
• Ensuring safety guidelines and standards are maintained.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and support to other assistant coaches on training sessions and techniques.
• Aid in the coordination and administration of the overall program.
