Job summary

Harvard University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Men’s Tennis program in Boston. The role focuses on coaching, student development, and team leadership within an 11-month schedule.

You will assist in planning practices, guiding student-athletes, coordinating recruitment, and managing travel logistics. The position also involves fundraising support and interaction with athletics administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Requires at least 1 year of tennis coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate, national, professional or Olympic level.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required; valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in developing, coordinating, and planning practices and competition to develop student-athlete skills.
• Oversee team recruitment and retention strategies in line with Harvard's values.
• Coordinate travel, logistics, and schedule management for competitions and events.
• Support fundraising and running special events for the program.
