Job summary

Holy Cross in Worcester, MA invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Women's Rowing. You will assist the Head Coach with all facets of the program, providing instruction on skills, techniques and team concepts while ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference rules.

The role includes individual coaching, reviewing practice and competition film, planning daily workouts, and supporting recruitment and mentoring of student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Prior coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Computer and video editing skills strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes on rules, fundamentals, skills and techniques.
• Assess skill attainment during practice and in film.
• Review opponent video and design individualized instruction.
• Develop daily practice activities and pre-competition plans.
• Attend workshops to research methods for training on health, safety and rules.
