Job summary

Travis County seeks a Social Services Program Coordinator for Women, Children, and Families to design, coordinate and monitor programs serving incarcerated mothers and families. You will work with psycho-educational groups, interns, volunteers and community agencies to uplift the well-being of clients and their children.

The role requires strong advocacy, innovative interventions, and ability to build partnerships to strengthen family ties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences or a directly related field and five (5) years' experience in social services or a related field, including program coordination.
• Alternative combination of education and experience equivalent to the stated requirements.
• Certification may be required (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC-A).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, train, monitor and evaluate program activities and staff.
• Develop and schedule program work plans; oversee daily operations and activities.
• Prepare periodic reports and statistical progress on program activities.
• Serve as liaison with community outreach and advocacy groups and service providers.
• Plan and conduct program-related educational sessions and training; speak to groups.
