Job summary

Saint Peter's Health Care System is seeking a Night RN for the Women-Children Float Pool in New Jersey. This role supports nursing excellence in Magnet-designated care settings and provides direct patient care and supervision as needed.

The ideal candidate is NJ-licensed with BSN preferred, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications, and ECG training, with duties including assessment, planning, and discharge education in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or obtained during orientation at specialty level.
• PALS certification required or obtained during orientation at specialty level.
• NRP Part I required at specialty level.
• NRP Part II obtained during orientation at specialty level.
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with NJ Board of Nursing requirements and policies.
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
• Prepare patients/significant others for discharge and health maintenance at home.

The Women-Children Float Pool RN Nights will:

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures.
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
• Ensure that patient/significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required or obtained during clinical orientation at specialty level (PICU, Peds ED, Labor & Delivery) as approved by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification required or obtained during clinical orientation at specialty level (PICU, Peds ED, Peds) as approved by the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part I required at specialty level (Labor & Delivery, NICU, Mother-Baby)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part II obtained during clinical orientation at specialty level (Labor & Delivery, NICU, Mother-Baby)
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation

Salary Range:47.00 - 62.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
