Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System in New Jersey is seeking a Women-Children Float Pool RN for night shifts. The role focuses on assessing health status, planning, implementing and evaluating care, and guiding the health team to ensure care aligns with NJ Board of Nursing and ANA Code of Ethics.

This RN will educate patients and families, prepare for discharge, and support home health maintenance. Eligible candidates are licensed in NJ; BSN preferred (must be obtained within three years); BLS,

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • BSN preferred or must be obtained within three years of hire date.
  • BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification required or obtained during clinical orientation at specialty level (PICU, Peds ED, Labor & Delivery) as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification required or obtained during clinical orientation at specialty level (PICU, Peds ED, Peds) as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part I required at specialty level (Labor & Delivery, NICU, Mother-Baby)

Responsibilities

  • Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
  • Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
  • Ensure that patient/significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.

The Women-Children Float Pool RN Nights will:

  • Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.

Requirements:

Salary Range:47.00 - 62.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
