Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Med Surg Float Pool RN Nights to join our Magnet-recognized team. The role involves assessing patients, planning and delivering care, and providing guidance to the health team in accordance with NJ Board of Nursing regulations.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation

Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care
• Ensure that patient/significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting

The Med Surg Float Pool RN Nights will:

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
