Job summary

Hard Rock International at Tejon is seeking a Wok Cook - Noodle Bar to join our kitchen team as a Specialty Cook II. Under the Sous Chef, you will grill, fry, broil and pantry prepare items according to menu specs and plate visually appealing dishes for guests.

You will maintain clean workstations, follow recipes, support team members, and comply with all licensing and gaming regulations. Previous Cook Trainee or culinary degree preferred; flexible shifts required.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience as Cook Trainee or equivalent, or culinary degree/apprenticeship.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food for grilling, frying, broiling or pantry, ensuring plates are visually appealing and cooked to specifications.
• Stocks and retrieves required food items and supplies; maintains neat workstation.
• Assists coworkers to ensure efficient line operation; communicates with staff and guests.
• Adheres to safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews recipes and documentation; determines if food is cooked to proper specifications.
• Stocks and retrieves necessary food items and supplies; moves around work area.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds; communicates with customers and all levels of staff.
• Flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
