Job summary

EM Key Solutions is seeking a Security and Technical Review SME to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Lorton, VA. You will provide expertise in safeguarding high-value WMD/CWMD information, review technical content for security classifications, and implement policies ensuring protection of sensitive information under DoD guidance.

The role requires coordinating with engineers and government stakeholders to apply correct classification decisions and maintain national security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or significant experience in a technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an engineering, scientific, technical, or analytic position.
• Experience using Security Classification Guides (SCGs) to make technical classification decisions.
• Knowledge of the derivative classification process.
• Current Secret with eligibility to Top Secret Clearance – TS/SCI highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter expertise in safeguarding high-value Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)/CWMD technical information.
• Coordinates with scientists and specialists to assess classification level for information sensitivity.
• Implements policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting agency information from unauthorized disclosure.
• Coordinates with internal and external offices to protect stakeholders' information in day-to-day operations.
• Reviews classification guidance for new or ongoing programs to ensure accurate guidance for customers.
• Ensures consistent application of standards when releasing information outside the agency to various customers.
• Reviews classification and declassification decisions to ensure compliance with national security standards.
• Consults with officials to determine appropriate classification levels.
