Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Maritime Security Subject Matter Expert to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's CTR program from its Global Threat Reduction Directorate. The SME will advise on maritime law enforcement, detection, interdiction, and WMD prevention across partner states, including training and vulnerability assessments.

Qualified candidates hold a Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and can be on-site in Lorton, VA, with up to 25% travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years related experience.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship is required.
• On-site in Lorton, VA up to 100% of the time.
• Travel, including international, up to 25% of the time.
• Experience in shipboard and patrol vessel interdiction operations.
• Knowledge of international maritime law (UNCLOS/IMO).
• Experience in government consulting in CWMD/CBRN missions.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support CTR efforts to strengthen partner state capacity to identify and interdict WMD in maritime domains.
• Provide technical expertise on treaties, authorities, and U.S. law relating to maritime interdiction.
• Advise on maritime operations equipment and surveillance systems.
• Offer expertise in MLE security operations, tools, tactics, and procedures.
• Train partner states on surveillance technologies for maritime domain awareness.
• Assess hazards of shipboard operations and mitigation methods.
• Evaluate training programs for CTR-provided security systems.
