Job summary

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana is seeking a Mission Discovery Specialist to serve as the primary contact for wish families during onboarding, coordinating with medical teams to align expectations and deliver a seamless wish experience. The role emphasizes compassionate communication, relationship building with families and volunteers, and collaboration with regional teams to advance the mission.

It is a full-time on-site position requiring travel up to 20% and adherence to confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to travel overnight up to 20% of the time.
• Availability to be on a rotating schedule for 24-hour/day, 365 days/year emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with wish families during onboarding.
• Coordinate with medical teams and family to set expectations for each wish experience.
• Manage caseload and track progress in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Collaborate with volunteers and regional teams to enhance the wish journey.
• Support regional events and awareness opportunities as needed.
